Parent Involvement Communication Council

The Parent Involvement Communication Council is a group consisting of representatives from parent groups, School Board Departments, community agencies and organizations that have parent involvement responsibilities. The PICC meets monthly for the purpose of sharing/disseminating information to our respective groups and to increase communication to parents and families and schools.  The representatives share information about their own initiatives and activities occurring throughout Broward County. The PICC and office of Parent Involvement help to bring this vast amount of information together in an organized way, in an effort to keep schools and families informed.

PICC also works in collaboration with its members to support district-wide parent projects and workshops. It serves as a forum and point of entry for community members and/or businesses looking to become involved, inform parents about available community services, or share an innovative idea with schools and families.
