Tutoring
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provides extra academic assistance such as tutoring and other after school services that have been approved by the State Department of Education. Tutoring must take place outside of the regular school day and parents must choose the provider of these services.
To qualify for SES, a student must be attending a Title I school that has not made AYP for three consecutive years. The student must be documented as being from a low-income family and may also be prioritized based upon academic achievement. A student cannot receive both school choice and SES.
