studentBecon Distance Learning offers to middle and high school students a quality education through the Internet and Videoconferencing technologies.

Becon Videoconferencing
This program allows teachers to provide virtual fieldtrips and classes through the use of videoconference equipment. Through weekly videoconference programs, students in grades Pre-K to 12 are engaged in interactive instruction taught by BECON Distance Learning teachers.

Broward Virtual School

BECON-TV
BECON -TV provides educational and entertaining programming for all ages. Check out the family-friendly broadcast schedule and tune in to BECON-TV on UHF channel 63, cable channel 19 in Broward and cable channel 16 in Miami-Dade. School breakfast and lunch menus are broadcast every morning at 6 a.m. on school days.

Dual Enrollment
Broward Community College and the School Board of Broward County jointly sponsor a Dual Enrollment Program. This program gives high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to enroll in courses at BCC for high school and college credit.

College Academy
The College Academy BCC Central Campus offers high school juniors enrolled as full-time students in the program the opportunity to receive a high school diploma from The School Board of Broward County, Florida and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Broward College.

Additionally, students are afforded the opportunity to qualify for the State of Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. The College Academy is designed for students who have the maturity required for college campus life and the academic ability to handle the rigor of college work.
